  • 1 can 400 ml of full-fat coconut cream, chilled overnight
  • 200 grams of high-quality dark chocolate vegan
  • 2 tbsp of cocoa powder
  • 3 tbsp of maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp of vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt
  • Optional toppings: shaved chocolate toasted coconut flakes, or berries

Instructions
 

  • Chill the Coconut Cream: Start by chilling your can of coconut cream in the refrigerator overnight. This helps the cream solidify and separate from the liquid.
  • Melt the Chocolate: Break the dark chocolate into pieces and gently melt in a heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water (double boiler method), stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  • Prepare Coconut Cream: Scoop the solidified coconut cream into a mixing bowl, leaving any clear liquid behind. Using an electric mixer, whip the cream until it forms soft peaks.
  • Combine Ingredients: Add the melted chocolate, cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to the whipped coconut cream. Mix on low speed until well combined.
  • Chill the Mousse: Divide the mousse among serving dishes and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until set.
  • Serve: Garnish with optional toppings like shaved chocolate, toasted coconut flakes, or fresh berries before serving.
