  • 4 slices whole-grain bread
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries sliced
  • 1/4 cup crushed pistachios
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tsp honey optional
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon juice optional, to prevent avocado from browning

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Balsamic Reduction: In a small saucepan, combine the balsamic vinegar and honey (if using).
  • Bring to a simmer over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer until it reduces by half and becomes syrupy, about 10-15 minutes.
