  • 4 oz bourbon
  • 2 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 2 oz rosemary simple syrup
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs and lemon slices for garnish
  • Rosemary Simple Syrup:
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2-3 sprigs fresh rosemary

Instructions
 

  • Make the Rosemary Simple Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine the water and sugar.
  • Bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  • Add the rosemary sprigs, reduce the heat, and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and let the syrup cool completely.
  • Strain out the rosemary sprigs and transfer the syrup to a glass jar. Store in the refrigerator until ready to use.
  • Prepare the Cocktail: Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
  • Add the bourbon, fresh lemon juice, and rosemary simple syrup to the shaker.
  • Shake well until the mixture is chilled, about 15-20 seconds.
  • Serve: Fill two glasses with ice cubes.
  • Strain the cocktail mixture into the glasses.
  • Garnish each glass with a sprig of fresh rosemary and a slice of lemon.
